TABLE OF CONTENTS

We'd like to call out a very exciting new item that has been long-awaited and will make many of our customers happy:

  • Item Sales Report: Gain valuable insight into item-level sales performance to help hotel managers optimize inventory and understand revenue opportunities.
  • Grab & Go For Walk-Ins: Expand your revenue stream by enabling Grab & Go purchases for non-guests. The new passerby feature lets you process walk-in credit card payments directly through Stayntouch Guest Kiosk, with charges automatically posted to a designated house account. This works in tandem with our already released Grab & Go Room Charges.

  • SiteMinder Channel Manager – Zero Inventory Control: For SiteMinder users, a new setting allows your property to automatically send zero inventory when fully booked—helping prevent overbooking and ensuring real-time accuracy across all connected channels.
  • Duplicate Profile Report (In Pilot): Easily identify and clean up duplicate guest profiles for more accurate data and smoother operations.

Too Long; Didn’t Read?

We've got your back with this abridged version of the v5.97 product release! If you want the full details, click the linked enhancements directly below for a full explanation of each enhancement.

Rates & Add-Ons

1. Validation For Inclusive Add-On Pricing

To prevent negative room revenue, Stayntouch PMS now blocks saving a rate if the price of any room type is less than an inclusive add-on.

If this occurs, you’ll see the error message, “The price of one or more room types is less than the price of the inclusive add-on.”

To proceed, update the rate price or change/remove the inclusive add-on.

Financials

2. QR Reference Added To Swiss QR Code

You can now generate Direct Bill and A/R invoices with a Swiss QR Bill that includes a 27-digit MOD10 reference number.

Key Details:

  • Ensures payments go to the correct QR-IBAN
  • Helps with easier and more accurate payment matching
  • Available alongside existing MOD97-10 option

How It Works:

  • The reference is generated from your invoice number
  • Padded to 26 digits + 1 check digit (MOD10) = 27-digit reference
  • Used in the QR Code and Reference fields of the QR Bill display on the invoice.

Note:

  • Must be used with a valid QR-IBAN

3. Fiscalize Direct Bill Invoices With EFTSA

You can now fiskalize Direct Bill invoices when EFTSA is active at a property.

Key Details:

  • A new Fiscalize Direct Bill Invoices feature toggle is available in Stayntouch Admin (visible only if EFTSA is enabled).
  • Direct Bill invoices are fiskalized as open balance.
  • A/R invoices are no longer fiskalized when this is enabled.
  • This applies to reservation, group, and house account Direct Bill settlements.
  • Manual A/R invoices remain unaffected.
  • Logged in Technical Event Log (Code 270).

Note: Payment method is not sent to EFR.

4. Customizable A/R Information Invoice Label With Translation Support

You can now customize the label on A/R Information Invoices to better reflect documents used for payment. You can set a customer label from Hotel & Staff > Stationery > Invoices > Company/Travel Agent Invoice > A/R INFORMATION INVOICE LABEL. The label entered will appear on all A/R Information Invoices. Translations are also supported if enabled for the property. Other invoice types are not affected.

5. In Pilot: Shift4 Gift Cards: Add New Gift Card On Account (Via Terminal)

The Shift4 payment gateway now allows you to add a new gift card or check balance on a gift card by selecting any of the options on the gift card account or via the gift card payment method on the reservation. Please note, this functionality is currently in pilot. Please contact Customer Support if you are interested in activating this feature. Read more here.

Grab & Go Functionality (In Pilot)

6. In Pilot: Allow Credit Card Charges Via Grab & Go

You can now extend Grab & Go functionality to non-guests by leveraging the passerby feature. This enhancement enables the collection and processing of credit card payments from walk-in customers, with all charges and payments automatically routed to a designated house account. Passerby guests can utilize Stayntouch Guest Kiosk to make non-guest purchases via credit card. To enable this feature, ensure the Activate Passerby Account Type setting is enabled by a Stayntouch Admin user (please contact sales.team@stayntouch.com), and a house account is mapped to the appropriate workstation. Read more here.

7. In Pilot: House Account Mapping For Grab & Go Workstations

Grab & Go users can now map a house account directly to a workstation, allowing credit card payments to be collected and routed to a designated passerby account. To use this feature, the Activate Passerby Account Type setting must be enabled by a Stayntouch Admin user. If you are interested in this feature, please contact Customer Support. Once enabled, a new field will display next to the Grab & Go option from Settings > Kiosk > Workstation allowing users to enter a house account number. The entered account number is validated automatically, and upon successful validation, the house account name is displayed for confirmation.

Please note, Grab & Go passerby accounts can be created from Front Desk > Accounts > + ADD NEW by selecting PASSERBY as the account type.

This enhancement simplifies payment routing and improves transaction tracking for ad-hoc or walk-in customers. Read more here.

Digital Registration Card (In Pilot)

8. Edit Digital Registration Card After Completion

You can now edit completed Digital Registration Cards directly from the REGISTRATION CARD button view. This allows you to:

  • Fill in any missed fields after the guest has completed the card
  • Update guest details easily without needing to restart the process

When viewing a completed digital registration card via the REGISTRATION CARD button, all fields are now editable. Any changes made are automatically saved when you exit the popup window. Updated fields are also reflected on the guest card, ensuring consistency across records. Read more here.

Stayntouch IBE

16. Stayntouch IBE: Multiple Images For Room Types

We’ve enhanced room type listings in Stayntouch IBE to support up to five images per room type. This update provides travelers with a richer, more detailed view of each room, helping them make better-informed booking decisions.

17. Stayntouch IBE: Smarter Guest Form Experience

The State field in guest forms via Stayntouch IBE is now displayed only when required by the selected country. This reduces unnecessary fields for guests, streamlines the booking process, and minimizes confusion. The change applies across both the My Trips menu and when updating a saved address in the browser.

18. Stayntouch IBE: Expanded GTM Tracking With Hotel ID

To improve tracking and analytics via Stayntouch IBE, Google Tag Manager (GTM) now consistently includes the hotel ID across all supported data layers, including the landing page. This ensures more accurate data collection and enables deeper insights for marketing and reporting.

Sample:

Integrations

19. SiteMinder: Send Zero Inventory When House Availability ≤ 0

For SiteMinder CRS users, a new Send zero inventory when house availability ≤ 0 toggle is available under Settings > Integrations > Central Reservation System > SiteMinder. When enabled, all room types are sent with zero inventory if house availability is zero or negative, overriding actual room type values. When disabled, availability is sent based on actual room type inventory. This prevents overbookings by stopping SiteMinder distribution when the property is fully booked.

20. Loyalty Redemption Details Now Visible In PMS Notes For SynXis Reservations

For hotels using SynXis CRS and Loyalty Points, loyalty redemption details are now automatically recorded in the NOTES section of the reservation in Stayntouch PMS. When a reservation is created or modified via SynXis with loyalty data, the system extracts it from the “Create Booking” or “Modify Booking” message and adds it to the NOTES section.

21. Connect APIs Enhancement: Shoulder Date Rates In Group Rate API

We now return an is_shoulder_date boolean in the GET /groups/{id}/room_rates API. Shoulder date pricing (rates for dates just before or after the group stay) will appear when set up. The rate format remains unchanged, and the API behaves as usual if no shoulder dates exist.

22. Connect APIs Enhancement: Update Shoulder Date Rates For Groups

PUT /groups/{id}/room_rates now supports updating shoulder dates rates for existing groups. This enhancement aligns API behavior with the PMS and applies to updates only, not group creation.

20. Connect APIs Enhancement: Support for Allotment Codes In Availability API

API partners can use allotment codes with GET /hotels/{id}/availability and GET /hotels/{id}/availability/room_rates by passing them as the group_code parameter. The response returns availability for that specific allotment. If the code is invalid, you’ll get an error. If no code is provided, general availability is returned.

23. Connect APIs Enhancement: Masked Card Number Added To Reservations API

The reservations/id/selected_payment_method API now returns the masked card number with the last 4 digits. This lets you identify the credit card used without exposing full details. Card type and expiry date are also included.

24. Connect APIs Enhancement: New Fields Via GET /hotels/{id}/charge_codes

The GET /hotels/{id}/charge_codes API now includes the fields allow_manual_postings, service_fee, and minimum_amount_to_charge for some codes. This helps improve data accuracy and supports auditing of charge codes and fees.
