How is This Number Calculated?

The Guests Sent Email indicates the number of reservations arriving on the selected date with an email address on file. Click Example 1 or Example 2 for a more detailed overview of the web check-in process.

If you are not familiar with Stayntouch Guest Mobility check-in configuration (specifically the concept of sending Day of and Day Before Arrival emails), then click here.

EXAMPLE 1

On September 27, 100 reservations are due to arrive at the property.

Of those 100 reservations, 50 reservations actually have an email address on file (this is important because Stayntouch PMS can only deliver a mobile check-in email if there is an email address saved to the reservation).

Additionally, this particular property sends a mobile check-in email to reservations on the day of arrival as well as the day before arrival. (This means that incoming reservations will have two opportunities to complete mobile check-in prior to their arrival.)

  • Of the 50 reservations with an email on file, 0 of the reservations complete mobile check-in on the day before their arrival date.
  • However, of the 50 reservations with an email on file, 45 reservations complete mobile check-in on the day of their arrival.

As a result, the total number of Guests Sent Email will equal 50, because at the start of the process we had 50 email addresses on file. And t
he Guest Sent Email column only indicates the number of reservations with a valid email address AND an arrival date that matches the date specified.

And the total number of mobile check-ins completed will be 45 (0 Day Before Arrival + 45 Day of Arrival). Refer to the guide below for a detailed breakdown of the stats.

   27 September 2016                                                                                                               Counts

EXAMPLE 2
On September 30, 100 reservations are due to arrive at the property.

Of those 100 reservations, 50 reservations actually have an email address on file.

This property also sends a mobile check email to reservations on the day of arrival as well as the day before arrival

  • Of the 50 reservations with an email on file, 30 of the reservations complete mobile check-in on the day before their arrival date.
  • Because 30 of the 50 reservations have already completed mobile check-in, Stayntouch PMS will only send 20 mobile check-ins to the remaining reservations with an email on file. Of those 20 reservations, only 10 complete mobile check-in on the day of arrival

As a result, the total number of Guests Sent Email will equal 50. Again, this number is based on the total number of guests to which Stayntouch PMS was able to successfully deliver an email. While the total number of mobile check-ins will be 40 (30 Day Before Arrival + 10 Day of Arrival).
