We'd like to call out a few special items that have been long-awaited and will make many of our customers happy:

  • Rooms can now be placed into Out Of Inventory (OOI) status if the room(s) should be removed from the hotel’s inventory.
  • Stayntouch PMS now offers a Breakfast List Report, which produces a breakfast list that can be printed for the current business date or a future date. The report lists all guests in-house the night before and whether or not their accommodation includes breakfast.
  • You can now set up deposit rules to always collect a deposit for the guest balance. The system will exclude any routed charges that do not belong to the primary guest. 

Out Of Inventory Room Status

 

Rooms can now be placed into Out Of Inventory (OOI) status if the room(s) should be removed from the hotel’s inventory or disabled permanently or for a period of time.

 

As with the Out Of Order (OOO) and Out Of Service (OOS) room statuses, an OOI room status can be set for a specific date range, and you can choose a ROOM RETURN STATUS and REASON, or add any necessary COMMENTS.





 

When creating reservations, Stayntouch PMS will exclude OOI rooms from room selection.

 

The OOI functionality is permission driven, so you can choose to assign the Put Rooms Out Of Inventory to only specific user roles from Settings > Hotel & Staff > Permissions. By default, Hotel Admin and Chain Admin users will be assigned this permission. Users that do not have this permission assigned will not be able to place rooms OOI.


Breakfast List Report

 

Stayntouch PMS now offers a Breakfast List Report from Reports > New Report, which produces a breakfast list that can be printed for the current business date or a future date. The report lists all guests in-house the night before and whether or not their accommodation includes breakfast.

 

Report Filters

  • DATE: Only a single date can be selected. Can be printed for the current business date or a future date.
  • DISPLAY(S): Select ALL RESERVATIONS or ONLY BREAKFAST ADD-ONS.
  • SORT BY: Choose to sort by Name or Room Number.


 

Report Output

 

The Breakfast List Report can be exported via CSV file or printed, and it will appear in the Reports Inbox as pictured below. You will see the following fields on the report:

  • Report Header:
    • DATE: Date the report was run.
    • TOTAL GUESTS: Number of guests included in the report.
  • Report Body:
    • Room: Room number
    • Reservation: Guest name; number of adults, children, and/or infants; group/allotment name; company/travel agent name; accompanying guests
    • Rate: Rate applied to the reservation
    • Breakfast: Whether breakfast is INCLUDED or NOT INCLUDED

When viewing the report from Stayntouch PMS, the report will be paginated, if applicable.

 

The post type is also considered for the report. If Post First Night has been selected for the breakfast add-on, the breakfast add-on will only be shown on the second day of the reservation, as the report shows stayover reservations from the previous night that have the add-on. If Every Week has been selected for the breakfast add-on, the breakfast add-on will be shown only on the day the charge is posted.

 

The Breakfast List Report can also be scheduled from Reports > Schedule a Report/Export > Scheduled Reports > + NEW REPORT SCHEDULE.



 

The scheduled report will appear in your list of scheduled reports from Reports > Schedule a Report/Export > Scheduled Reports, and you can edit it from here if desired. 

 

 

The scheduled report you receive to the selected delivery method will be in the file format chosen and will look something like the below screenshot depending on the parameters set.


Mark Breakfast Add-Ons

 

As part of the new Breakfast List Report, from Settings > Rates > Add-Ons, you can now mark an add-on as a BREAKFAST ADD-ON to be included in the Breakfast List Report. Selecting BREAKFAST ADD-ON has no effect on the add-on functionality and is only used as a reference for the report. The option can be enabled/disabled without changing other toggles, and other toggles do not affect the BREAKFAST ADD-ON toggle.


Deposit Rules: Collect Primary Guest Balance

 

You can now set up deposit rules to always collect a deposit for the guest balance. The system will exclude any routed charges that do not belong to the primary guest. 



 

Moreover, this logic is only applied when the Percentage and Night(s) options are selected from the AMOUNT TYPE dropdown from Settings > Rates > Rules & Restrictions > Rules > Deposit Requests > + Add new rule, as the amount types will calculate a flat amount. Please note, if the No deposit request on reservations with routed charge checkbox is selected from Settings > Rates > Rules & Restrictions > Rules > Deposit Requests > + Add new rule, the system will NOT request a deposit.



 

This functionality applies to Stayntouch PMS, Stayntouch Guest Kiosk, and Stayntouch Guest Mobility.

Finland Reference Number

 

The Finish reference number algorithm can now be generated from within Stayntouch PMS and can be printed on locked/closed invoices. The Finish reference number functionality must be enabled by Stayntouch Admin, so please contact Customer Support if you need this functionality activated for your hotel.

Enhancements To Room Status Activity Log

 

We’ve made the following enhancements to the Housekeeping > Room Status > Room LOG Tab:

  • Last 200 records are returned
  • Pagination with 50 records per page
  • Page load time is 3 seconds or less
  • Last 14-day criteria is removed from the page


Enhancements To Queued Rooms Functionality

 

We’ve added a SKIP KEY CREATION FOR QUEUED ROOMS toggle to Settings > Reservations > Reservation Settings that will allow you to skip key creation when placing a room in queue. When enabled, the user will now be prompted to create a key when checking the reservation into the system, rather than when placing in queue.


 

Additionally, the ENABLE QUEUED ROOMS toggle has been moved from Settings > Rooms > Housekeeping to Settings > Reservations > Reservation Settings.
