ⓘ We'd like to call out a few special items that have been long-awaited and will make many of our customers happy:
- Users can now easily edit multiple reservations at the same time from the group rooming list, saving time previously spent manually editing single reservations.
- With the addition of Journal click through and back navigation, users can now open Journal transactions for guests, accounts, and A/R accounts from each Journal tab/ledger and then easily navigate back to the active Journal tab/ledger they left off originally.

Edit Multiple Reservations From Group Rooming List
You can now edit multiple reservations at the same time from Groups > Manage Groups > Select Group > Rooming List. Depending on the rooms selected from the rooming list, the user can update multiple reservations within the rooming list at the same time. When one or more reservations are selected in the rooming list, the user can click an EDIT button, which will allow them to update ARRIVAL DATE, DEPARTURE DATE, ROOM TYPE, and OCCUPANCY.
The user can only update one option (ARRIVAL DATE, DEPARTURE DATE, ROOM TYPE, or OCCUPANCY) at a time. When one option is updated, the others will be uneditable. If a user selects multiple reservations and updates ROOM TYPE, then all reservations selected will be updated to the selected room type. Arrival and departure dates as well as occupancy will remain the same for the reservations. When updating any of those options, the reservations that have been selected will be updated with the new value. If the user does not update any of those options, then the reservations selected will not be changed.
Please note, the current functionality does not allow users to update both arrival and departure dates at the same time. If a user selects to update the arrival date, then the departure date will be grayed out and uneditable. The same applies to when the user selects to update the departure date—the arrival date will be grayed out and uneditable.
Furthermore, dates outside of the group’s date range will be grayed out, and the user will not be able to select those dates.
Once the user chooses to update any of the options, Stayntouch PMS will complete an availability check for the group. If there is availability, all reservations selected will be updated accordingly.
If the changes cannot be made for all of the reservations selected, the update will fail, and the user will receive an error message stating, “Insufficient rooms in group block to complete the update. Please update room block before proceeding. No changes have been made.”
The group Activity Log tab will be updated for each individual reservation with the changes made. This will also display bulk updates and the number of reservations changed.
Keep an eye out for further group bulk updates to come in the future, such as notes, actions, and payment methods.
Journal: Click Through and Back Navigation
You can now click through items within Financials > Journal.
Journal transactions for guests, accounts, and A/R accounts now appear in orange and are linked to the final destination bill for that transaction. The user will then be able to navigate back to the Journal from the bill by clicking the << JOURNAL button. Inactive transactions displayed on the Journal are not clickable, as these transactions do not show up in the account/guest bill. Furthermore, when navigating back to the Journal from a bill, account, A/R account, or invoice, the user will be directed back to the active Journal tab (Summary, Revenue, or Payment tabs) and ledger they left off originally.
Please note, in addition to the enhancements mentioned above, the SEARCH FOR dropdown filter has been moved to the left side of the search bar. It was previously on the right side of the search bar.
Routing Instructions for Group Reservation Created by CRS
We have introduced a logic whereby if a CRS creates a group reservation, and the group has routing instructions attached, then the group routing instructions will be attached to the reservation. If the group does not have routing instructions, then Stayntouch PMS will apply Travel Agent or Company routing, if available in profiles.
INTEGRATION TO OWNER RELATIONS (ONE-WAY DATA EXPORTS)
Owner Relations provides robust condo hotel software, owner accounting, and owner portal software solutions for condo hotels, fractional hotels, residence clubs, timeshare resorts, HOAs, and property management companies. Stayntouch now offers specific exports to help customers using Owner Relations ensure a more seamless data transfer between the two systems.
Owner Relation Reports: Guest Records Extract
We’ve implemented an Owner Relations Guests Export. This will generate an export of guest records at End of Day and will include status and details as of audit date. Moreover, the export will include checked in records and checked out records on the audit date. The following fields will appear on the export:
- Confirmation
- Guest Last Name
- Room Number
- Rate Code
- Market Segment
- Booking Origin
- Arrival Date
- Expected Departure Date
- Actual Departure Date
- Status (Checked In, Checked Out)
- Business Date
- Travel Agent Name
Data file extracts can be transferred via web service, secured FTP, or another approved method on a scheduled daily basis.
Owner Relation Reports: Reservations Records Extract
We’ve implemented an Owner Relations Reservations Export. This will generate an export of all reservations with an arrival date that is greater than or equal to the current business date that have an assigned room number. The following fields will appear on the export:
- Confirmation Number
- Guest Last Name
- Room Number
- Expected Arrival Date
- Expected Departure Date
- Rate Code
- Reservation Status
Data file extracts can be transferred via web service, secured FTP, or another approved method on a scheduled daily basis.
STAYNTOUCH GUEST MOBILITY/KIOSK
Stayntouch Guest Mobility: Ask for Additional Guest Details Toggle
We’ve added an ASK ADDITIONAL GUEST DETAILS toggle to Settings > Guest Mobility > Check In > Prompt for additional guest details. When the toggle is enabled, and a reservation is being checked in from Stayntouch Guest Mobility with more than one guest, the guest will be able to add and update additional guest details in line with this functionality. When the toggle is enabled, and a reservation is being checked in with only one guest, the guest will not be prompted for additional guest details. Moreover, when the toggle is not enabled, and a reservation is being checked in with more than one guest, the guest will not be prompted for additional guest details.
Stayntouch Guest Kiosk: Prompt for Additional Guest Details Toggle
We’ve added a PROMPT ADDITIONAL GUEST DETAILS toggle to Settings > Kiosk > Check In > Add/Update Guest Details. When the toggle is enabled, and a reservation is being checked in from Stayntouch Guest Kiosk with more than one guest, the guest will be able to add and update additional guest details in line with this functionality. When the toggle is enabled, and a reservation is being checked in with only one guest, the guest will not be prompted for additional guest details. Moreover, when the toggle is not enabled, and a reservation is being checked in with more than one guest, the guest will not be prompted for additional guest details.
Stayntouch Guest Kiosk: Language Translations
We support language translations configured in hotel admin for the following data elements on the kiosk screens:
- Rates (Average Daily Rate is a hard-coded translation)
- Room Type
- Add-On Names and Description
- Add-On Upsell and Description
This also includes support for English-to-English translations should you wish for the room or rate to use a different naming when guest facing.
Please note, in order for translations to be available on these screens, you must first enter the translations from the respective configuration settings pages:
- Settings > Rates > Rates > Select Rate > Rate Details > SELECT LANGUAGE > Enter NAME (TRANSLATION) and DESCRIPTION (TRANSLATION) – Rate translations are optional, since Average Daily Rate is a hard-coded translation.
- Settings > Rooms > Room Types > Select Room Type > SELECT LANGUAGE > Enter ROOM TYPE NAME (TRANSLATION)
- Settings > Rates > Add-Ons > Select Add-On > ADD-ON LANGUAGE > Enter Translatated NAME and DESCRIPTION
- Settings > Promos & Upsell > Upsell Add-Ons > Select Language > Enter Label Translations
- Settings > Financials > Charge Codes > Select Charge Code > SELECT LANGUAGE > Enter DESCRIPTION (TRANSLATION)
For English-to-English translations, simply leave the language as English and enter the desired text in the appropriate translation field.
COUNTRY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Sweden: Monthly Nationality Statistics Export
Due to legal requirements in Sweden, we have introduced a Monthly Nationality Statistics Export, which can be configured to send a monthly statistics text (.txt) file to the Statistics Office. This export can be generated from Reports > Schedule a Report/Export > Scheduled Export > + NEW EXPORT SCHEDULE > Monthly Nationality Statistics. The export will be generated as a text (.txt) file with separation by semicolon.
