Automatic End of Day

For properties with automatic End of Day configured, StayNTouch Cloud PMS will run EOD at the predetermined time. Prior to this, we recommend reviewing all arrivals to determine if there are any actions or notes that indicate guests should be preregistered for early arrival for the following day. In the example below, we have an arrival where there's no indication this should take place.

As there are no departures in the example hotel below, there is no concern here. If there were any departures, these would go into CHECKED OUT (WITH BALANCE).

As with the end of any shift, you should ensure that your cashier has been closed from Front Desk > Cashier. You can see how to close a cashier here.

We also recommend checking the Actions Manager from Actions > Action Manager to review any outstanding actions for the property for the day. Any outstanding actions need to be marked as COMPLETE before you can proceed with manual EOD.

You may also want to follow up with the specific department to see why this action was not taken care of, and it may be in your interest to change the date of the action to tomorrow's date to make sure it is still followed up on if necessary.

With all of this reviewed, StayNTouch Cloud PMS will automatically process EOD at the indicated time. To verify that EOD is running, you can simply select an action, such as clicking into the ARRIVALS tile from the Dashboard, and you'll see that the EOD routine is in progress.

Furthermore, at the top of the screen, you'll see an "End of Day Routine in Progress" message flashing in orange.

To verify that EOD is complete, you can once again click into any tile on the Dashboard, and this will show you that the process has been completed and that the business date has changed.

The article above explains steps you should take before, during, and after automatic EOD in StayNTouch Cloud PMS. For more information, view this video or contact Customer Support.
