Stayntouch PMS Allotment Revenue Generated by the Business on the Books Report Varies by Date Range Selected
The allotment revenue for the same date (October 28 in this example) will be different if the Business on the Books Report is run for one specific date (October 28) versus the entire month (October 1 to October 31).
As per the current implementation, this is expected behavior. For calculating the figures for this report, we select all the allotment reservations that stayed in the hotel for the given date range and then calculate the revenue from the transactions of those reservations filtered by date.
So, when we run the report for October 28 only, 17 allotment reservations were selected, and room revenue for those on October 28 was $3,893.
However, there were 3 allotment reservations that departed on October 28 but had revenue transactions for the date October 28. These 3 reservations were not selected since they were departing on October 28.
When the report was run for October 27 to October 31, these 3 allotments were selected, since they stayed in the hotel for one of the nights (October 27) of the given date range. Hence, the revenue transactions on October 28 (not EOD transactions) were also selected for the report, bringing the revenue to $4,580.
