Ensure Successful Pre-Check-In for Alternative Payment Methods

As you may have noticed, we recently made it possible (see "Auto Check-In Allowed for Reservations Not Payment Guaranteed by Credit Card") for reservations that aren't Payment Guaranteed by credit card to complete auto check-in. This means that hotels can now allow auto check-in for reservations that completed payment via alternative payment methods like PayPal or Airbnb.

If your hotel has Stayntouch Guest Mobility pre-check-in enabled, and you are allowing check-in for a platform-based payment method like Airbnb, ensure pre-check-in and key/PIN generation are successfully completed by navigating to Settings > Reservations > Reservation Types > Toggle ON Payment Guaranteed.

Then, from Settings > Financials > Payment Methods, add the linked reservation type of Payment Guaranteed to your chosen payment type (e.g., Airbnb).

You can then choose Airbnb as the payment method on the stay card prior to arrival, which will default the reservation type to Payment Guaranteed.
