Manual End Of Day
To verify that manual End of Day (EOD) is an option for you, first navigate to Settings > Hotel & Staff > Settings & Parameters.
From here, ensure AUTO CHANGE BUSINESS DATE is toggled OFF and click SAVE CHANGES.
There are four items we recommend a user to check before performing manual EOD.
The first is to check if any arrivals still pending. Otherwise, the arrival will change to a "no show" upon running EOD.
Look for any comments, notes, or actions in your arrivals, which might indicate they should be pre-registered for early arrival the following day.

Secondly, we recommend you check if there are any departures left, as they will be moved to the CHECKED OUT WITH BALANCE section of the dashboard upon running EOD.
As with the end of any shift, a user should also ensure the cashier has been closed from Front Desk > Cashier. Otherwise, the cashier will be closed by the PMS during EOD, and there will be an open balance for the next day.
Lastly, the user will need to go to Actions > Actions Manager, to ensure all the property’s actions have been taken care of for the day.
Any outstanding actions need to be followed up with the respective department to ensure they have been completed, or moved to the next day if required before proceeding with manual EOD.
After these four items have been checked, the user can run EOD. To run manual EOD, navigate to Front Desk > End of Day.
From this page, you’ll notice that Stayntouch PMS has the prior business date listed, as well as the different processes that happened during EOD for your property. Not everything will be in bold text based on the different things that have to happen or the different settings your property has configured.
To initiate EOD for the current business date, select RUN EOD.
Upon doing so, a warning will show, and starting EOD will require your password.
Once you verify your password, a message will appear stating, “This will close the business day for [date] and change the date to [date].” Finally select CONTINUE WITH END OF DAY.
At this point, an “End of Day Routine in Progress” message will display at the top of the screen, and that will flash while EOD is running. It is possible to continue using Stayntouch PMS while EOD is in progress; however, it is recommended not to process any credit cards or print any invoices while the PMS is going through the process of posting room and tax charges.
EOD should only take a few moments to run, and if you REFRESH the page, you may even get a “Business date has changed” message if EOD is already complete.
By selecting OK the dashboard will update to the new business date.
