
Configure Add-Ons
To configure add-ons, navigate to Settings > Rates > Add-Ons > + ADD NEW.
In the NAME field, enter the add-on name.
Enter the add-on description in the DESCRIPTION field.
If you want to upsell the add-on via Stayntouch Guest Mobility or Stayntouch Guest Kiosk, please also upload an image here.

Regarding the ALLOWANCE toggle, allowances are covered in a separate article.
It is not necessary to set a FROM DATE or TO DATE for the add-on; this can be left blank.
Find the CHARGE GROUP that is relevant for this add-on.
Select the charge code that is relevant for this add-on. Keep in mind if at the end of the year you want to know how much you have made in champagne and strawberries, for example, we recommend to create a separate charge code for this.
Fill in the AMOUNT.
Select the ADD-ON CURRENCY.
Under OCCUPANCY TYPE, you can decide how to charge the add-on to the guest.
The first option is Adult, which can be used if you want an add-on to charge only for adults and not for children.
The second option is Child. Same as for Adults, this can be selected if you have an add-on that only has to be charged for children and not for adults.
The third option, Person, can be used for all guests on a reservation, such as, for example, with breakfast.
Flat can be used if the add-on is not necessarily charged based on the guests on a reservation, such as a bicycle rental.
The last option is Room, which is again not specific per person, but can be added only once per room. For example, champagne and strawberries in the room.
Once the occupancy type is set, the POST TYPE has to be selected. This will determine how many times during the guest's stay the amount will be posted. Nightly would be every single night of the reservation (such as with breakfast).
Every Week will post once a week (e.g., cleaning fee for long stay guests).
Post on Last Night can be used for late check-out charges.
First Night can be used for any charges that only have to be posted once during the guests' stay.
Below this are three options. The only relevant option is Consume next day, which should only be toggled on for breakfast add-ons.
It is also possible to check INVENTORY with add-ons. This can be useful with, for example, roll away beds.
An add-on should be Rate Only or Reservation Only. By selecting Rate Only, the add-on will only appear for selection during rate creation. This is great for packages.
Reservation Only should be used for add-ons you want the front desk to be able to upsell to the customer during the reservation creation process.
By selecting Bestseller, the add-on will show up as one of the first options for your front desk, making the upsell easier to view for them.
Only select Online if you have an IBE that connects directly with Stayntouch PMS and you want this add-on to display on this IBE.
If you enable NOTIFY STAFF ON GUEST PURCHASE, the PMS will send an email to the email address set up in hotel details to notify the property of the add-on purchase.
The BREAKFAST ADD-ON switch should be enabled for all breakfast add-ons only.
In this case, we will disable the BREAKFAST ADD-ON switch, as it is not a breakfast add-on.
If you want to exclude certain rates from using this add-on, first enable the EXCLUDE FROM RATE toggle.
Then drag and drop (or use the arrows in the middle) the rates you want to exclude.
Toggle the EXCLUDE FROM RATE switch off if you do not want to use this functionality.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply the modifications.
