Configure Tax Exempt Types & Add New Exemption


To set a tax exemption on a reservation, go to the stay card, scroll down, and click ADDITIONAL DETAILS.


To set a tax exempt in a reservation go to the Stay Card, scroll down and click on "Additional Details."


From here, turn ON the TAX EXEMPT toggle and click the dropdown menu next to it.


In the Additional Details section, toggle "Tax Exempt" to "On" and click the dropdown menu.


Select the appropriate rule from the dropdown menu. The selected rule will ensure these taxes are not posted to the reservation. You can also enter a Tax Exempt Reference.


Select the needed rule from the dropdown menu. The selected rule will make that these taxes are not posted to the reservation.


To set tax exempt rules, navigate to Settings > Financials > Tax Exempt Types > + ADD NEW.


To set this up in the settings click on the menu button and select "Settings."


In the navigation bar, click on "Settings."


In the sidebar, select "FINANCIALS."


In the Financials section, click on "Tax Exempt Types."


In the Tax Exempt Types section, click on the "Add New" button.


In the NAME field, enter the name of the tax exempt rule.


In the Add New Tax Exempt Type field, enter the name of the tax exempt rule.


Now, select the tax codes that should NOT be posted to the reservation.


Now select the tax codes that you would like NOT to be posted to the reservation.


Click SAVE CHANGES.


Click the "SAVE CHANGES" button.
