Manage Permissions & Navigation


Navigate to Settings > Hotel & Staff > Permissions.


Select "Permissions" from the options displayed.


Select a user role and click on a permission under Assigned Permissions.


Click on a permission" under Assigned Permissions.


Click the > button to move it to Not Assigned Permissions.


Click the arrow button to move it to Not Assigned Permissions.


And the other way around to unassign a permission.


Click the < button to move the permission from Not Assigned Permissions to Assigned Permissions.


Select and use the arrow to unassign.


Each user should only have one role assigned. Multiple roles may cause conflicts in the permissions. There are some roles with specific behavior. The Zest Station (Stayntouch Guest Kiosk) role, for example, will automatically open the Stayntouch Guest Kiosk app when assigned to a user. This is used to log on to the iPads/tablets used for guests to self check-in.


Each user should only have 1 role assigned. Multiple roles may cause conflicts in the permissions. There are some roles with specific behaviour. Zest Station (KIOSK) for example will automatically open the KIOSK app when assigned to a user. This is used to log on to the ipads used for guest to self checkin.



The Floor & Maintenance Staff role makes the user appear in the housekeeping worksheets and allows tasks to be assigned to them.

The Hotel Admin (and/or Chain Admin) role is the only role that allows user creation. The best practice is to only have this role assigned to the permission settings.
