
Stayntouch Pay/Adyen Pay By Link Process
The Stayntouch Pay/Adyen process for Pay By Link will differ depending on whether the rate on a reservation has a deposit policy or not. This article explains the process for both.
RATE WITHOUT DEPOSIT POLICY
If a rate on a reservation does not have a deposit policy, when you send a confirmation email by clicking on the CONFIRMATION button on the stay card and then click on the payment link from the confirmation email, the system will prompt you to enter a credit card and preauthorize it. You will then receive a message stating, "Transaction completed – you may now close your browser." The reservation will then be updated with the credit card.
If you want to change the credit card attached to the reservation, click the CONFIRMATION button on the stay card again, copy the link, and send the link on a separate email, and the guest can follow the same steps as before.
RATE WITH DEPOSIT POLICY
If a rate on a reservation has a deposit policy, when you send a confirmation email by clicking on the CONFIRMATION button on the stay card and then click on the payment link from the confirmation email, the system will prompt you to enter a credit card to pay the deposit due. You will then receive a message stating, "Transaction completed – you may now close your browser." The deposit will then be paid, and the reservation will be updated with the credit card.
From the stay card, you can confirm the deposit has been paid by clicking the DEPOSIT/BALANCE button.
If you want to change the credit card attached to the reservation, click the CONFIRMATION button on the stay card again, copy the link, and send the link on a separate email, and the guest will be prompted to enter a credit card and preauthorize it (the same process as a reservation without a deposit policy).
