Stayntouch PMS Extending Group Block Reservations To Shoulder Nights
When making a group block reservation that arrives or departs during shoulder dates, you can start by making the reservation within the primary arrival and departure dates of the group block and then extend it.
To begin, click on the arrival and departure date field on the stay card.
Then, click on the arrival date field.
Click the green CHECK DATES button to the right side of the dates, which will result in a popup window asking if you want to borrow from the house for the shoulder nights.
This is because no inventory is held in the group block for the shoulder nights by default. To proceed, press the green BORROW button. This option is permission-based.
The arrival date has been successfully extended to a shoulder night. Now, we can move on to extending the departure date.
Click on the arrival and departure date section again.
Select the departure date field.
Click the green CHECK DATES button to the right side of the dates.
You have successfully extended the departure date. We do not recommend using the NIGHTS >> section in the top right of the stay card to extend reservations to shoulder nights. Doing so will unintentionally add another room to the group block inventory for the primary dates of stay.
