Managing House & Group Posting Accounts
To find accounts, navigate to Front Desk > Accounts.
By default, this list will display any accounts that have a balance and which are either house accounts or group accounts.
Check the Non-Zero Balance checkbox in the top section, to show open accounts that have a zero balance.
We will click on the "Marketplace Account September 2024" to view its details.
There are a few points to cover on the Summary tab. First, we will discuss what to do if you will be posting any charge codes that would normally be included in our segmentation reports. To include these, select the DEMOGRAPHICS button.
Like reservations, we can also choose to link a company, travel agent, or group to this account, so that any revenue is reflected in their statistics. Next, we will select the Transactions tab to look at the bill itself.
We will select "Candy" from the list of items to add it to the bill.
Choose a payment type from the dropdown menu.
Next, select the MAKE PAYMENT button to complete the transaction.
Click the edit button in the bill summary section.
Select a different bill number from the TO BILL dropdown in the move charges modal.
Click the red X button on the move charges modal.
Click the ADD CHARGE button to add a new charge to Bill #1.
Click the edit button to modify the details of the selected charge.
Select a different bill from the TO BILL dropdown menu in the modal to move the charge to another bill.

Click on the red X button in the modal to dismiss the MOVE CHARGE(S) popup.
Now let's see how to make a new account.
We will start by selecting + ADD NEW, in the top right corner.
Under ACCOUNT TYPE, you can decide if this is a House or a Group account. Groups will always have one account created by default, but more can be added by selecting Group here, and adding the group card to the company, travel agent, and group section on top.
For this account, we are going to toggle the switch on for OPEN NEW BILL AFTER EOD.

We will save this account before proceeding.
We have the ability to select a specific date to review those charges only.
In addition, note that the TOTAL CHARGES for the account will be shown on the top along with any TOTAL BALANCE.
The total charges and balance of each bill, however, will be shown further down.
When you are ready to close an account, so long as there is no remaining balance, simply select Closed from the STATUS dropdown.
