Stayntouch Internet Booking Engine Additional Features & Enhancements

Stayntouch Internet Booking Engine now supports the following additional features and enhancements:

1. CALENDAR WIDGET UPDATES

You can host a Calendar Widget on your site and select your preferred language from those enabled in the IBE. By default, English will be selected.

The Calendar Widget is a powerful tool that allows your website visitors to easily select dates, specify the number of adults and children, and apply group or promo codes for bookings. With its user-friendly interface and customizable options, the Calendar Widget provides a convenient and efficient way to manage reservations on your website.

Accessing the Calendar Widget Section

To access the Calendar Widget section within the Sitebuilder website, please follow these instructions:

Select the General Settings option within the menu, represented by a gear icon.

You will then be directed to the General Settings page. Scroll down until you find the section labeled Calendar Widget. This section contains the settings and options related to the Calendar Widget feature.

Here, you will find code snippets of HTML and script that you will need to use later on to implement the Calendar Widget into your website.

Features of the Calendar Widget

The Calendar Widget offers the following features:

Flexible Booking Path: You can choose to open the booking path in a new tab or the same tab by enabling the corresponding option in the widget settings based on your preference.

Language Customization: The Calendar Widget offers language customization. Simply select your preferred language from the dropdown menu in the settings.

Automatic Color Theme Matching: The Calendar Widget seamlessly integrates with the website's theme, automatically matching its color theme for a cohesive user experience.

Implementing the Calendar Widget

To implement the Calendar Widget, please follow these steps:

Create a new HTML file in your text editor and insert the basic HTML structure as shown below:

Now, return to General Settings within the Sitebuilder and copy the HTML code snippet from the Calendar Widget section.
Switch back to the text editor, paste the copied HTML code snippet inside the body section of the HTML file (between the <body> and </body> tags), and repeat the same process for script.
Save the HTML file after pasting the Calendar Widget code.
You have successfully embedded the Calendar Widget into your HTML page. To see it in action, open the HTML file in a web browser and find the widget displayed within the body section.

Note: Remember to adjust the placement and styling of the Calendar Widget within your HTML page as per your website design requirements.

Using the Calendar Widget

To use the Calendar Widget on your website, follow these steps:

Here are some common actions you can perform in the Calendar Widget:

Date Selection: Click on a specific date within the calendar to select it.
Adult and Child Selection: To adjust the number of adults and children, use the plus and minus icons.
Group Code or Promo Code: If applicable, please enter the code provided to avail any associated discounts or special offers.

After completing the above steps, click the Book Now button to proceed with the reservation.
By default, clicking on the Book Now button will redirect you to the IBE in a new tab. This is where users can complete their booking process.

2. TRANSLATION FEATURE

We offer translation features for add-ons, room types, and rate plans. Translation support is available on Stayntouch IBE by updating the labels per field.

3. SHOW ONLY PUBLICLY AVAILABLE RATES BY DEFAULT

We have introduced a feature that displays only public rates in the IBE by default, as long as the public rate has no promo code associated. Promo and other rates are only viewable after adding the specific promotion code.
