Activation and Usage of Payment Link


We have introduced a new payment link feature, where guests can make payments for reservations through a link included in confirmation emails. Guests can add credit cards to cash bookings or change credit card details. To activate the payment link feature for your property, please contact Customer Support or Onboarding (onboarding@stayntouch.com). The payment link feature is available for Stayntouch Pay, Shift4, and Adyen integrations.


Once a request to activate the payment link feature is received, the Stayntouch team will then need to sign into Stayntouch Admin and navigate to Properties > Hotels > Select Hotel > Payments – Gateway Configure gateway settings and activate the Pay by link toggle. Then click Save configuration and then Save my changes. Please note, the following screens are only accessible for Stayntouch Customer Support and Onboarding.


NOTE: If the reservation does not have a deposit due at the time the confirmation is received by the guest (e.g., the guest receives the confirmation today, but they are only due to pay the deposit next week), then the link only takes the credit card details; it does not take a payment. However, the guest can choose to process payment for the remaining balance of the anticipated stay total if they choose to.






Next, navigate to Configuration > Features > Enable or disable features and click on Load Optimized Payment Link in guest web app. Make sure to enable this by hotel only.





Once a Stayntouch team member has configured these settings, a Hotel Admin user will need to navigate to Settings > Guest Mobility > Guest Mobility Design Setup and make sure Guest Mobility Design Setup is activated.



From Settings > Guest Mobility > Guest Mobility Design Setup, please also make sure each of the following toggles are set to VISIBLE:

  • Arrival date
  • Departure date
  • Reservation number
  • Guest name
  • Number of guest
  • Room rate
  • VAT
  • Welcome text



After activating all of these settings, the payment link feature will be active for the property. Simply generate a confirmation email to a guest reservation, and from the confirmation email, the guest can pay their bill by following the steps in the screenshots below.
