STR Integration Setup


To activate an STR integration for your property, please contact Customer Support.


STR FORWARD INSTRUCTIONS


To provide daily data for the weekly report for STR, first create a new SFTP server as follows: 

  • From the Stayntouch menu, navigate to Settings > Hotel & Staff > SFTP Servers > + ADD NEW.
  • Enter the credentials as follows: 
    • SERVER DESCRIPTION: STR Forward 
    • SFTP ADDRESS: ftp1.str.com 
    • PORT: 22
    • FILE PATH:
    • USERNAME: Provided by STR* 
    • PASSWORD: Provided by STR*



*Note: If you do not have a USERNAME and PASSWORD, please contact integration@str.com.


Next, click TEST CONNECTIVITY to ensure that you are able to connect; a green bar should appear at the top.


After you have saved the new SFTP server, you will be ready to schedule the report from Reports > Schedule a Report/Export > Scheduled Reports > + NEW REPORT SCHEDULE.
  • Search for the Business on the Books Report.
    • Make the following selections: 
      • TIME PERIOD: Current + Three Months 
      • REPEATS: Daily 
      • REPEATS EVERY: 1 Day 
      • STARTS ON: Select tomorrow’s date 
      • ENDS ON: Never 
      • STARTS AT: 07:00 
      • DELIVERY METHOD: SFTP Export
        • Search for STR Forward 
    • Click SAVE SCHEDULE and then notify integration@str.com that the setup is complete. 


To provide data for the monthly ForwardSTAR reports, a representative of the property will need to complete the following steps on the first Monday of the month:
  • Navigate to Reports > New Report > Business on the Books.
  • Update the date range on the right to 365 days (from today to same day next year), click RUN REPORT, and then GO TO INBOX.
  • Click the purple download button to download a CSV file of the report.
  • Save file to the desktop (or anywhere it will be easy to find) with property name, STR number, and date (e.g., ABC 
  • Hotel 999999 August 2020) as the file name.
  • Email the file to auto_data@forwardstar.str.com with the property name and STR number in the subject line.
  • It is not necessary to include anything in the body of this email.


STR HISTORICAL DATA INSTRUCTIONS


To provide historical data for STR, first create a new SFTP server as follows: 

  • From the Stayntouch menu, navigate to Settings > Hotel & Staff > SFTP Servers > + ADD NEW.
  • Enter the credentials as follows: 
    • SERVER DESCRIPTION: STR Historical 
    • SFTP ADDRESS: ftp1.str.com   
    • PORT: 22 
    • FILE PATH:
    • USERNAME: Provided by STR* (in the format of PMS-Stayntouch_#######) 
    • PASSWORD: Provided by STR*



*Note: If you do not have a Username & Password, please contact integration@str.com.


Next, click TEST CONNECTIVITY to ensure that you are able to connect; a green bar should appear at the top.



After you have saved the new SFTP server, you will be ready to schedule the report from Reports > Schedule a Report/Export > Scheduled Reports > + NEW REPORT SCHEDULE.

  • Search for the Comparison Report.
    • Make the following selections: 
      • TIME PERIOD: Yesterday
      • OPTIONS: None
      • FILE FORMAT: CSV
      • REPEATS: Daily 
      • REPEATS EVERY: 1 Day 
      • STARTS ON: Select tomorrow’s date 
      • ENDS ON: Never 
      • STARTS AT: 07:00 
      • DELIVERY METHOD: SFTP Export
        • Search for STR Historical 
    • Click SAVE SCHEDULE and then notify integration@str.com that the setup is complete.
