Restart of Comtrol Rover Interface Controller (RIC) for Key Integrations

After a restart of the Comtrol RIC (see steps below), you will need to initiate a new key link request manually for key integrations through Comtrol. To restart the Comtrol RIC, follow these steps:

Click on the “Start” button and find the “Services” option.
In the “Services” window, search for “Lodging Link,” (LL) and later “Rover Interface Controller” (RIC)
To stop each interface, click on the “STOP” button in the header bar at the top of the window, then click on the “PLAY” button to restart.
You’ll want to follow this order when you restart the system:
- LL (STOP) → RIC (STOP) → LL (START) → RIC (START)

This is the error you will see in Comtrol LLCC log:

[858] 1 08-Jun-2022 11:40:18 '7085800013799991790011181001118400101920018193090UHLL Key Link Request sequence must be successfully completed before issuing key commands.'

When this appears, you need to log into Stayntouch PMS and navigate to Settings > Integrations > Comtrol > Settings. From here, turn OFF the ACTIVATE / INACTIVE toggle, click SAVE CHANGES, and then turn the ACTIVATE / INACTIVATE toggle back ON.
