Events


You can find an Events menu item from the menu under Revenue Management. The purpose of events is to display information on key screens to indicate what is happening in and around the hotel.


 


From here, you’ll see the main Events configuration screen, and you’ll be able to add, remove, and edit events. At the top of the screen, you’ll notice the following items:

  • Event Type Filter: Filter existing events by Event Type.
  • Search Bar: Search any event by name.
  • Date Range Filter: Search by a FROM/TO date range. The FROM date will automatically populate with the current business date.
  • + NEW EVENT Button: Add a new event by entering a TYPE, TITLE, DESCRIPTION, START DATE, and END DATE. All of these fields are mandatory, except for DESCRIPTION.

 



Below the search/filter field, you’ll see a list of created events along with the TYPE, TITLE, DESCRIPTION, START DATE, and END DATE you entered previously. As indicated by the double arrows (>>), you can click on the event to see the configured event details and edit them as necessary. Sorting of events is displayed by FROM DATE

 




The list of events will also have pagination; each page will display up to 50 events.

CONFIGURED EVENTS DISPLAY IN RATE MANAGER

 

Any events configured in Revenue Management > Events will display on the Revenue Management > Rate Manager screen. The events will be displayed in the Rate Manager for the dates they were configured. For dates on which an event is scheduled, you will see a blue outline around the date tile with a number indicating the number of events scheduled on that date. Upon clicking the date tile, you will see the event details for that day.



EVENTS DISPLAYED ON AVAILABILITY SCREEN

 

Events configured from Revenue Management > Events now display on the Availability screen. The configured events will display on the Availability screen for the dates the event was scheduled. If there is an event for a date currently shown on the Availability screen, Stayntouch PMS will display a number icon on the dates applicable, and upon clicking the number icon, Stayntouch PMS will show the events for that date.

 



EVENTS DISPLAY IN ROOM DIARY

 

Events configured from Revenue Management > Events now display in Front Desk > Room Diary. The configured events will display in the Room Diary for the dates the event was scheduled. If there is an event for a date currently shown in the Room Diary, Stayntouch PMS will display a number icon on the dates applicable, and upon clicking the number icon, Stayntouch PMS will show the events for that date. Please note, events will display differently in the D Diary and N Diary views.

EVENTS DISPLAY IN GROUP ROOM BLOCK DETAILS TAB

 

Events configured from Revenue Management > Events now display in Groups > Manage Groups > Select Group > Room Block Details Tab. The configured events will display in the Room Block Details tab for the dates the event was scheduled. If there is an event for a date currently shown in the Room Block Details tab, Stayntouch PMS will display a number icon on the dates applicable, and upon clicking the number icon, Stayntouch PMS will show the events for that date.

 


EVENTS DISPLAY IN ALLOTMENT DETAILS TAB

 

Events configured from Revenue Management > Events now display in Groups > Manage Allotment > Select Allotment > Allotment Details Tab. The configured events will display in the Allotment Details tab for the dates the event was scheduled. If there is an event for a date currently shown in the Allotment Details tab, Stayntouch PMS will display a number icon on the dates applicable, and upon clicking the number icon, Stayntouch PMS will show the events for that date.
