Topaz C5


Topaz C5 (Cloud-Connected Call Center Console) is a web application for use by Topaz C5 call center agents to shop, book, modify, reconfirm, or cancel reservations for guests who are calling a hotel's reservations phone line. Topaz C5's integration with Stayntouch PMS supports the following functionalities:

  • View availability by room/rate given arrival date, departure date, number of guests, number of children, and an optional group/promo/access code. Once a room/rate is selected:
    • Show the agent room details (text description, images from image URLs)
    • Show cancellation policy and guarantee policy
    • Show nightly rates and nightly inventory (if provided by PMS) 
    • Applicable total taxes and fees (and a breakdown description, if provided by PMS)
    • Complete for the following rate types:
      • BAR/Rack
      • Public unrestricted rates
      • Group rates (restricted from view until access code is provided)
      • Corporate/negotiated rates (restricted from view until access code is provided)
  • Search for reservation
    • By PMS confirmation number. Once ID is obtained, load the reservation into view.  
    • By phone number (digits only, if functionality is provided by PMS).  Once ID is obtained, load the reservation into view.  
  • Modify a reservation 
    • Change guest details, credit card details, add/modify notes/comments
    • Change stay dates, room type, and/or rate plan
  • Cancel a reservation and check for a “CANCELED” return status.
  • In cases of rate plans that are not visible without an access code, we need to look the code up.
    • Group – Given an arrival date, retrieve groups that span/contain an arrival date. Only name and access/attendee code are needed. As an alternative, if available, a query using partial-name of the group would be helpful.
    • Corporate/Negotiated Rates – Given an arrival date, retrieve groups that span/contain an arrival date. Only rate plan name and access code are needed.  As an alternative, if available, a query using partial-name of the rate plan would be helpful.

Sample 1. One page view of availability, room, and rate details, quoted rate before and after taxes/fees.



Sample 2. Reservation form for agent to verify selections, enter guest and guarantee details, reservation notes/comments, or special requests.



Sample 3. Wrap-up screen that gets populated by reservation details returned from a successful submission, including the confirmation number. It indicates a successful new booking, modification, or cancellation as appropriate.



Sample 4. Reservation lookup by confirmation number (other fields made visible if available through the interface; e.g., by phone number, by arrival date, by email address)



Sample 5. Optional lookup tools to retrieve group/access code and name by arrival date (if available through the interface); code will be used on a subsequent availability query. These are supplemental and can be hidden per interface until needed and functionality is implemented and works as expected.



There is a minimal set up on the Stayntouch side for this. Stayntouch needs to provide OAuth key data to the Topaz team. Stayntouch will generate OAuth keys, and once the OAuth keys are created, Stayntouch will send them to Topaz.
