Stayntouch Guest Kiosk General Settings


Stayntouch Guest Kiosk is an in-hotel, self-service station that allows guests to independently check in, check out, create and pick up keys, and create walk-in reservations. In this article, we'll demonstrate how to configure Stayntouch Guest Kiosk general settings. To do so, navigate to Settings > Station > General.



From here, you'll find a list of Home screen options. As the name implies, the options selected will display on your Stayntouch Guest Kiosk home screen for your guests. You can choose from the following options:

  • Pickup Keys
  • Check In
  • Check Out



Moving on, you can also choose to turn ON the toggle for ACTIVATE BOOKING ENGINE POPUP. When this option is active, you'll be able to paste a BOOKING ENGINE URL for guests to be able to create a reservation through your booking engine directly on the kiosk.



Below, you'll also find an option for Language Support, and when MULTI-LANGUAGE SUPPORT is active, your guests can select multiple languages or their preferred language to go through any of the experiences selected above.



From there, you can also select Station Printer Options if your kiosk has a printer attached. We recommend selecting the AirPrint option, because this is the best available option for printing from the iPad.



To the right, you'll also see a Credit Card Entry Method section. Based on your payment gateway, please make the best selection.



Below, you'll see an option for Key Creation Method. Based on your key integration, you can select one of the options below, but here, the best option will be to select Remote Encoding - Chrome or iPad - Ving, Salto, Saflok. If you do not have a key integration, please be sure to select Manual.



Moving forward, you'll find the Out of Order Threshold section. When the ACTIVE toggle is ON, you can set a LIMIT for how many times the kiosk can go through errors before it goes out of order automatically. Here, we'll set this to 100.



On the right, you'll see the Guest ID Scan section, which is for specific customers using Samsotech technology.



Further down, are the Offline Re-Connect Settings. The amount selected for RETRY CONNECT (IN SECONDS) is how long it will take for the kiosk to reconnect back to network settings if there is a disruption. By default, this will be set to 10.



Finally, the last section here will be Configurable Images. Here, you will have the option to select images for the following:

  • CREATE KEY IN-PROGRESS IMAGE: Guests will see an image for key creation.
  • KEY CONFIRMATION IMAGE: Guests will see an image for key confirmation.
  • SWIPE CC FOR PAYMENT: Guests will see an image for swiping of the credit card.


Attach each appropriate image for the process indicated.



Once you've applied all settings, please be sure to select SAVE CHANGES.
