EMV Hardware Guide

OVERVIEW: SHIFT4'S HARDWARE ORDER PROCESS

Important: Stayntouch PMS ONLY supports credit card swipe, tap, or insert. We do NOT support signature collection (on the Lane/7000) or smartphone reading (with the Lane/7000). 

• In addition to receiving an order form, contract, and technical site survey, firewall port requirements will be also be provided to the property.
• Hardware can take up to 6 weeks for delivery to the property.
• Once the hardware is received at the property, Shift4 and Stayntouch will perform a remote installation based upon a scheduled date between all parties.
• All discussion about pricing should be handled between the property and Shift4 (Stayntouch is not required/nor recommended to comment on pricing with the client).
• Shift4 will order devices only for end-to-end Shift4 clients (meaning those clients who are using Shift4 as a gateway and a processor) at no cost to the client. For hotels only using Shift4 as a gateway, Shift4 will recommend 3rd party vendors from whom the client can purchase devices.
