PRODUCT ENHANCEMENTS

Set Scheduled Reports, Exports, and Custom Exports to Run During End of Day


You can now schedule a report, export, or custom export to run during End of Day instead of at a predefined date/time. Scheduled reports will be generated immediately after the business date rolls.


If you navigate to Reports > Schedule a Report/Export > Scheduled Reports/Scheduled Exports/Custom Exports, in the Schedule Details block, you can now select Run During EOD from the REPEATS dropdown menu.




If you select Run During EOD, the REPEATS EVERY section will become grayed out/inactive.


House and Room Type Availability Added to Rate Manager


Stayntouch PMS now displays house and room type availability within the Rate Manager to avoid toggling between multiple screens while working from the Rate Manager. 


From the RATES or RATE TYPES view, the available rooms in house are displayed on top of the grid.




From the ROOM TYPES view, or if you click into a rate where the room types are displayed, the room type availability is shown within the grid. To declutter the screen, you can hide room type availability by deselecting the SHOW AVAILABILITY checkbox at the top of the screen.



Events Configuration Area Added to Revenue Management Screen


We’ve added an Events menu item to the main menu in Revenue Management. The purpose of events is to display information on key screens to indicate what is happening in and around the hotel. In addition to displaying events in the Rate Manager (see "Configured Events Display in Rate Manager" below), watch the Revenue Management space for additional screens in the near future.



From here, you’ll see the main Events configuration screen, and you’ll be able to add, remove, and edit events. At the top of the screen, you’ll notice the following items:

  • Event Type Filter: Filter existing events by Event Type.

  • Search Bar: Search any event by name.

  • Date Range Filter: Search by a FROM/TO date range. The FROM date will automatically populate with the current business date.

  • + NEW EVENT Button: Add a new event by entering a TYPE, TITLE, DESCRIPTION, START DATE, and END DATE. All of these fields are mandatory, except for DESCRIPTION.




Below the search/filter field, you’ll see a list of created events along with the TYPE, TITLE, DESCRIPTION, START DATE, and END DATE you entered previously. As indicated by the double arrows (>>), you can click on the event to see the configured event details and edit them as necessary. Sorting of events is displayed by FROM DATE. 





The list of events will also have pagination; each page will display up to 50 events.

Configured Events Display in Rate Manager


Any events configured in Revenue Management > Events will display on the Revenue Management > Rate Manager screen. The events will be displayed in the Rate Manager for the dates they were configured. For dates on which an event is scheduled, you will see a blue outline around the date tile with a number indicating the number of events scheduled on that date. Upon clicking the date tile, you will see the event details for that day.



Hierarchy Restrictions


We’ve introduced hierarchy restrictions in Stayntouch PMS. Hierarchy restrictions are restrictions that are specifically applied to a hierarchical logic and do not function the same as traditional common restrictions that exist in Stayntouch PMS, which apply to each rate and room type combination. Hierarchy restrictions exist individually on each level, and during the reservation process, the “strongest” restrictions will supersede any underlying restrictions, depending on the reservation date, duration, and rate selected. The following levels of hierarchy restrictions are available:

  1. House hierarchy restrictions

  2. Room type hierarchy restrictions

  3. Rate type hierarchy restrictions

  4. Rate hierarchy restrictions

Note: Other CRS integrations are currently in the certification process for hierarchy restrictions, and documentation will be shared on our Knowledge Base as they become available.

Version 2.1.14 of Stayntouch PMS iPad App


We’ve released version 2.1.1.4 of the Stayntouch PMS iPad App in the App Store with the below updates:

  • Ingenico Link2500 production device from ScanSource issue resolved

  • Aila Tech updated SDK to support iOS 14.2

Shiji Payment Services iFrame Now Includes Cardholder Name and CVV Number Fields


As part of enhanced messaging between Stayntouch and Shiji Payment Services, we are now using a new Shiji Payment Services iFrame to include fields for Cardholder Name and CVV.



Please note, Cardholder Name will not be saved in Stayntouch PMS as part of this transaction. We will release this feature in the near future.

Void Transactions for Customers Using Shiji Payment Services


We’ve added a void transaction type for Shiji Payment Services payments that will have the following behavior:

  • When a refund is made on the same business date as a purchase, it will be recognized as a void transaction rather than a refund, and it will always be linked to the original payment. Below are the major differences between void and refund transactions:

  • Partial voids on the same date cannot be performed. A full original amount has to be voided first, and a new correct amount must be charged.  


COUNTRY SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Thailand: Disable Split Payment Functionality When Tax Payment Type Is Selected


If your property has payment receipts enabled by SNT Admin, and a tax payment receipt is generated, Stayntouch PMS will disable the ability to split a payment from the Bill & Charges, Account, and Group Account screens. 



Splitting a payment when tax payment receipts are generated would require a split payment receipt, which is not allowed. Therefore, in such cases, split payments will be disabled for credit card and direct bill payments. Split payments, however, will still be allowed for cash and check payments. Please note, when a cash or check payment is split, the receipt will not match, as it will only show the original amount.

Thailand: Disable Payment Rounding Functionality When Tax Payment Type Is Selected


If your property has payment receipts enabled by SNT Admin, and a tax payment receipt is generated, Stayntouch PMS will disable PAYMENT ROUNDING if toggled ON from Settings > Financials > Financial Settings.
