How to Move Group Dates When the DO NOT MOVE Toggle is ON in the Stay Card

If you are attempting to move group stay dates, and you get the message, “Unable to move group, reserved rooms cannot be extended for selected date range,” it may be related to the DO NOT MOVE toggle functionality in the Stay Card.

If you have already picked up rooms for the group (i.e., made reservations), assigned rooms, and turned ON the DO NOT MOVE toggle, this is why you are unable to move the group stay dates. 

The DO NOT MOVE toggle is primarily used when you have assigned a room to a reservation and do not want anyone to move this guest to a different room. However, in the case of groups, the below functionality also applies:

When extending a group with existing reservations, you will need to check if existing reservations have rooms assigned to them. If a room is already assigned to a future reservation, the room needs to be unassigned from the future reservation. 

If the future reservation has the DO NOT MOVE toggle active, the room should not be unassigned, and the group extension cannot be completed.

The solution is to turn OFF the DO NOT MOVE toggle, change the group stay dates, and turn ON the DO NOT MOVE toggle again.
