Keys or Credit Cards Being Processed on the Wrong Device/Workstations Dropping Off

On some older Windows PCs, it takes a while for the services to start up when a computer is restarted. If the Rover Service does not have a chance to start before a user opens Google Chrome and logs into Stayntouch PMS, this will trigger the creation of new workstations. If the user who logged into Stayntouch PMS is not a Hotel Admin, then they will not be prompted to complete the workstation form and will therefore have no idea that something has gone wrong.

To prevent this from happening, leave the computer until you see the Rover Service running before logging into Stayntouch PMS. Generally, someone from IT or a Hotel Admin user would have access to this in Windows > Services > Rover Service > Should say "Running". This will stop Stayntouch PMS from connecting to the default workstation.
