Lightspeed House Account Closing
Below is an explanation and workaround if the Lightspeed House Account has closed, but the Activity Log does not provide a reason.
During the EOD process, before business date changes, the PMS gets the direct payments from Lightspeed and posts them in the PMS on the account number defined in Lightspeed admin settings. As part of this process, the following take place:
- All payments and charge postings go to the same account.
- All debit charges get posted in the mapped charge codes from the product group.
- All payments get posted as per the payment types.
When the balance is 0, the account gets closed by EOD processes. If the balance is greater or less than 0, the account remains open.
