Guest Credit Card Authorization and Interface Postings


If interface postings aren't working for a property, the hotel will need to make sure the toggle for CHECK GUEST AUTHORIZATION FOR INTERFACE POSTINGS is turned OFF from Settings > Hotel & Staff > Settings & Parameters > Payment Gateway Settings. This toggle determines whether or not Stayntouch PMS will check for credit card authorizations to allow the interface to post to the room. When toggled ON, Stayntouch PMS will check for credit card authorizations; however, when toggled OFF, Stayntouch PMS will not check for credit card authorizations, and interface postings will be successful.


If this option is turned ON, the guest will only be able to pay in cash and will not be able to make phone calls or post charges from any other interface. If the guest has credit card authorization, but it is not higher than the amount on the call, the interface will deny the charge.
