How to Get Group Reservations to Book a Certain Minimum Number of Nights

To get group reservations to book a certain minimum number of nights, you must first create a rate code for the group and add a Minimum Length of Stay restriction from Settings > Rates > Rates > +ADD NEW, or select an existing group rate. If you are creating a new group rate, make sure the TYPE is a Group Type to make the rate available for selection from the group summary screen.

Create your group as normal, and set the number of rooms on the room block details.

When you create reservations for the group, do so from Front Desk > Create Reservation, not the Group Rooming List. You need to enter the group name when creating a new reservation in order to associate the reservation with the group. In the example below, the minimum length of stay is set to 2 nights. Upon entering 1 night for the reservation, no availability is returned.

However, when you enter 2 nights, a rate will be returned, and you can book the room.
