CRS Close-Outs

For close-outs on the CRS, there are some factors that you need to consider, which are detailed below.

CLOSE-OUT BY TOTAL HOTEL OR BY ROOM TYPE

Close-out for a hotel is the most intensive of all requests sent to the CRS. To make an update when closing out the hotel, there are a lot of data sent to the CRS, which include room types, dates, OTA channels, etc.

ROOM TYPES

Closure or changes to room types are not as intensive.

MESSAGE QUEUING

Based on the time you send an update, you need to consider the vast data being exchanged by other properties and the time this process may take.

If immediate closure is required, the hotel should complete closure in the CRS system directly, as it is possible a closure could take an hour or more. If closure is not time sensitive, the hotel should confirm whether the update was received in the CRS or not. Hotels can also speak with your CRS for an explanation of how long it should take for closure changes to be updated.

ITEMS TO NOTE
