EMV Troubleshooting

Each computer that uses Stayntouch PMS is assigned a Workstation. To find the Workstation you are using, perform a credit card authorization, and the system will record this action in the Activity Log.

To create a new Workstation, the user must have Hotel Admin access in the PMS. Once a user with these permissions signs in, they will be prompted to create a new Workstation.

If there are multiple Workstations that are not in use, or the names are not clear, they can be deleted by clicking on the "X" to the far right of the Workstation entry.

When signing into the Workstation, the system will ask for the following:

  • WORKSTATION NAME
  • Workstation ID

It is very important that the name given to the Workstation is a name that Support or others will know, so users choose the correct computer.

Example:

  • Name: Frontdesk Left
  • Workstation ID: 100001

These are the only two fields that need to be added here. Once this is saved, the Key Encoder and EMV device can be assigned from Settings > Integrations > Utilities > Workstations.

You can verify the EMV reader has a name from this page.

Example: Terminal 1
