Stayntouch PMS Guide

Stayntouch PMS supports three direct key interfaces: Saflok, SALTO, and VingCard. The below article explains the setup steps for Stayntouch PMS.

IMPORTANT:

  • Note that setup MUST happen in Stayntouch PMS as well as in the key vendor's portal (supporting material here).
  • It is of critical importance that the Version Supported and Key Card Type Supported match the information outlined for each key card vendor.
  • Additionally, mapping of rooms is sometimes required for key integration with Stayntouch. Mapping information can be found under Settings > Integrations > Utilities > External Mappings in Stayntouch PMS.

Jump to a Section:

(1)  Saflok / Kaba: RFID, MSR, Remote Encoding

- Version Supported: Saflok Version 4.0+

- Key Card Type Supported: MiFare 1K/MiFare Classic

(2) VingCard: RFID

- Version Supported: Ving VisionLine 1.16+
- Key Card Type Supported: MiFare Ultralight or MiFare Ultralight C

(3) SALTO: RFID, Remote Encoding

- Version Supported: SALTO version 12.xx+

- Key Card Type Supported: MiFare 1K/MiFare Classic or Tagit

(+) Room Mapping: Room mapping is required for room numbers where the formatting in the PMS and the key vendor differ. For example, if a room is configured in the key vendor system as 0405, but in Stayntouch PMS the room is setup as 405, then the property's room numbers would need to be mapped in the PMS.

2. Stayntouch will send the integration activation card (SAM kit card) to the hotel. The hotel will contact SALTO to activate the function remotely. The hotel must update the locks with the PPD after the integration has been activated. The hotel should return the SAM kit card to Stayntouch after completing the upgrade procedure.

3. The hotel is required to acquire Mifare classic key cards (1K). These key cards can be provided by any vendor; however, it is recommended that the property order keys from SALTO or send their key samples to SALTO for testing.

Remote Encoding

Overview

Edit SALTO Settings For Key Integrations

When integrating directly with SALTO or SALTO via Comtrol, from within your SALTO Space account, navigate System > General options and select the tab for PMS.

Under PMS, you’ll need to make sure that Industry Standard is selected. It should be set to TCPIP, and it will have the port that you need to use—in this example, we’re using port 7020, but you can use any port required.

If Industry Standard is not selected, then you need to select it. Make sure choose TCPIP, put in the port, and save it.

You’ll also need to restart services. You can do so by going to Windows Services, selecting the SALTO Pro Access Space Service, and restarting this service.

If you need to find the encoder IDs, you can go back to your SALTO Space account, and under System, you can go to SALTO Network, and the encoders are present there. This needs to be a number, so if you have these named something like “Front Desk Left” or “Front Desk Right”, you’ll need to update the name to a number instead.

ROOM MAPPING

Room key mapping is required when the room number formatting in a key system differs from how the room numbers are saved in the PMS. In the example screenshot below, the key vendor (external value) requires a '0' between the last two digits in the room number, while in the PMS (SNT VALUE), the '0' is omitted.

As a result, the following would be mapped in Stayntouch PMS like so:

Step 1. Map Rooms

  • First, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Utilities > External Mappings.
  • Choose your specific key vendor. (In this example, we will be using Saflok Key System.)
  • Click + ADD NEW.
  • Fill out the fields.
  • Repeat this step for every room number.

Step 2. Save.

  • Save your changes before navigating away.
