At the moment, the price in a group can only be adjusted if a Custom Rate is used. However, in order for the Segment, Market, etc. to be correctly transferred to other systems, we need to use the predefined rates with the correct setup from the beginning.
Using the predefined rates works well in principle. However, we have an issue when there are two groups with the exact same dates that should use the same rate.
For example, if both groups should use the GRP rate, which is defined as “General Group Block – Group block on single conditions, not a series or allotment”, we cannot currently use the same rate for both groups and adjust the price for one of them. Instead, we have to create a new rate for the second group.
We would like to avoid having to create new rates continuously, as this creates unnecessary work for the hotels.
Our goal is for the eight basic rates we have created for different types of groups/block bookings to work smoothly for the hotels. We need to be able to select the appropriate predefined rate, so that all the correct segmentation and other settings are retained, while still having the flexibility to adjust the price individually within each group booking.
We know that this is possible in, for example, Mews PMS, where you can select a predefined rate and still manually adjust the price within the group booking.
It would be very appreciated if similar functionality could be available in SNT PMS for our chain.
This would allow us to maintain the correct setup for reporting and RMS while avoiding the need to create new rates for every individual group and reduce the risk of hotels selecting the wrong segment or other settings when creating groups.
