Add-On Bundles
Hi Andrea,
Thanks for sharing the additional information / screenshots! I believe an easy way to handle this with existing functionality would be to create charge codes where the description/translation field matches the same name as the Add-On. Then, on the add-on, you can associate that charge code instead of the generic ones you are using - so, having a charge code called "The Salt Board" and using that instead of something like "Retail - Food & Beverage (Non-Alcoholic Prepacked)". Before implementing this change, I would make sure you collaborate/communicate with your Finance team to ensure they are on board with this and understand what needs to be mapped to what GL codes in your back office system, if applicable.
You have successfully submitted this as a feature request - if that solution with the charge codes does not meet your needs, let us know and we'll leave it open for the development team to consider and review for future enhancement.
Best,
Julia
As per Ms Andrea
Hi Julia,
This is not aligned with how we need to route the accounting charges (which is why we had to separate the charge codes) so unfortunately your suggestion does not align with how we have to route the charges and bundling alcohol with food or retail items would require for the property to split charges manually.
I don’t know if you understand the process but we do have a reason for all the different charge codes.
Unfortunately, your recommendation is not an acceptable solution for this issue.
Andrea
Okay, will leave this open, then.
Good Afternoon,
I wanted to follow up because I don't think my original question was fully understood.
I understand how to create and add Add-on Groups/Bundles. My question is about how the bundle appears on the guest invoice. Our goal is for the invoice to match what is shown during the booking (the SNT bundles match our Booking engine set-up so that is also what the guests sees online). For example, if a guest purchases the Cloud Wine bundle for $50, we'd like the invoice to display Cloud Wine – $50 rather than each individual charge code that makes up the bundle.
When guests purchase multiple bundles, the invoice becomes cluttered and confusing. At a minimum, we would like the option to suppress the individual line-item prices or display the bundle as a single charge. We are not looking to combine the pricing—only to present it in a cleaner way that matches the booking experience.
If this isn't currently possible, could you let me know who I can contact to submit this as a product enhancement request? I'd be happy to explain our use case further.
Thank you,
Andrea
