Phone Numbers and Email when building Group Rooming Lists

Right now, it is very tedious to add contact information to guests that are being input via mass rooming lists.  We send out a lot of communication through text and email, including mobile check in and mobile key.  It would save a great deal of time if we could input the phone number and/or email address at the same time as the name rather than building the whole list then going through and clicking on each individual guest, going to stay card, and entering it there.

Hello! Have you tried using the Group Rooming List CSV Import tool? This has fields where you can import with the email and phone number - so this might meet your needs. Here are details about it from the Knowledge Base:

Since there's only one phone input when you import, will it not save it as the land line option on the staycard?  For our purposes, we would need it saved as the mobile number, as that is the number Canary utilizes to send upgrade, check-in, and update texts.

It will land in the phone field - however, I think there is a very strong possibility that Canary already has the ability to utilize that phone number entry. Anecdotally, we have many hotels using Canary with Stayntouch - and most hotels do not use the mobile phone number field primarily or at all, really, since it is not filled in by default from most reservation platforms. I believe Canary has already solved for this with their functionality or may have a setting that you can enable to solve for this. Have you spoken with them about this?

I will touch base with our general manager.  He has been working very closely with Canary as they rolled out their new features and our hotel has been used as the test model for a lot of them.  We have been told that it must be in the cell phone slot to function, and we discussed it at our last meeting, including making this exact post here on the forums. I will ask him to check in with them and see if that has been updated since then.

Great! If not, maybe that is something they can do? The phone number field is available to them through the API integration that they already have with us - perhaps they can adjust to pull that value either instead of or in addition to the mobile phone number field.
