Sync promo code from channel manager

Currently: A guest books a promo code (lets say MC2026) through our online booking platform/channel manager (Siteminder) but the rate code is a generic 'PROMO' code so I don't have to create a rate code for every promo code that is created. (That would be time consuming).  The reservation comes through to SnT with the rate code which can be tracked but not the promo code so that I can track which specific promo codes are being used. The promo reporting in SnT only shows promo codes being booked through the front desk.

Desire: Siteminder has informed me that the promo code data is available to be imported with the reservation when it syncs with SnT but there is no field for it to map to.  Create a field to map this data to and a report that can be run to track this data. 

Why: Accurate tracking and reporting of how and which promo codes are being used so that I can fine tune my marketing.

If I have a discount for a company and create a promo code so that they can book online, SnT reporting of company usage won't show those reservations. If I can see which reservations have that specific promo code I can manually add the company for accurate data. Currently I have to run a report from siteminder to do this.

           If the only way to track a promo code is to create it's own rate code so that I can pull a rate code report, I am forced into a ton of extra work and a whole bunch of eventually unused rate codes.
