Currently, once a contract has expired, it cannot be extended, requiring users to create a new contract with a different name. This can lead to inefficiencies and confusion when managing contracts over time.
Allow expired contracts to be extended directly without the need to create a new contract under a different name. This would streamline contract management, maintain continuity, and reduce potential confusion.
Use Case Example:
A contract named "2024 Corporate Agreement" expires on December 31, 2024.Instead of creating a new contract (e.g., "2024 Corporate Agreement - Extended"), the system allows the user to extend the existing contract by updating the expiration date and other relevant terms.
