Enhanced Rate Strategy Functionality
1 Comment
Arca Hotel Group has requested the addition of room type-specific restrictions, as their rate strategy is based on the total occupancy per room type rather than the overall hotel capacity. This functionality would better align with their operational and revenue management approach.
We would like to request an enhancement to the Rate Strategy functionality by introducing the ability to apply restrictions for both Rate Types and Room Types.
Current Limitation:
Currently, restrictions are applied to rates only without the flexibility to target specific Rate Types or Room Types. This limits the ability to create more tailored and strategic pricing or availability rules.
Proposed Enhancement:
Enable the application of Rate Type-specific restrictions, allowing certain rate types to be restricted without impacting others.Introduce Room Type-specific restrictions, enabling properties to control availability or conditions for specific room categories.
Use Case:
Rate Type Restrictions: For example, a hotel may want to restrict promotional rates during peak periods while keeping standard rates available.Room Type Restrictions: A property could block specific room types (e.g., suites) for group bookings during a high-demand period while leaving standard rooms available.
Expected Benefits:
Increased flexibility in rate and room type management.
Improved ability to implement dynamic pricing and availability strategies.
Enhanced operational efficiency by reducing manual adjustments for rate and room availability.
