For hotels using Stayntouch IBE, transient reservations generally flow through without a source code - unless it is defined at the rate code level.
Since many transient rates sold on the IBE are also sold over the phone or to walk-ins, hotels typically do not set default source codes on these rate codes (unlike OTA, corporate negotiated, etc. rate codes) since they want the Front Desk / Reservations team to be prompted to select the correct source when making a reservation over the phone, etc.
However, this is problematic since there is currently no function to set a default source code for Stayntouch IBE. To correctly identify reservations made this way, the hotel team must reference the activity log and see that the reservation was created by WEB or look for an IBE external reference to confirm that it was made this way, and then set the source on the reservation. However, users are often prompted to enter source codes as a required field and can't exit out of that pop up without selecting something for that field, leaving room for user error if they forget to go back and verify/change.
It would be helpful if hotels could set a default source code for Stayntouch IBE similar to how they can with many CRS integrations.
