Easier Way to Remove Upsell Room Upgrade
We had never run into this until today and holy smokes did it confuse the heck out of us. Could not figure out why the guest appeared to still owe money when we had charged the card for the room night amount + tax (as we always do). Eventually SnT support helped us figure out this upsell behavior where the upsell amount is added to the guest balance but does not show up in Bill & Charges so that a) you can see that it exists and understand where the balance is coming from and b) let you modify/delete it to resolve the issue. In this case we had to bill the upsell amount to a baloney payment method which is.. not very elegant.

This is a problem. We are unable to change the room to a "lower room type" as they were "upgraded" to the lower room type so its impossible to go lower. This definately needs to be made easier!

Easier way to remove an upsell room upgrade charge. When you accidentally selected the option to charge an upsell / upgrade charge for a room type change, the current workaround to correct is below which is not the easiest/most efficient way to action. Waikiki Malia had to action this workaround which seemed to be too many steps necessary to simply undo an error in posting/selection.
You can tell it is going to post if it shows up on the appropriate bill’s Pro Forma invoice. To remove it:
Change the room type to a lower room type
Change the room type back to the intended room type
Extend the reservation by 1 night
Un-extend the reservation by 1 night
To verify this worked, re-generate the appropriate bill’s Pro Forma invoice and confirm it does not appear.
