Ability to Schedule A Room Move
Scheduled room moves. It would be nice to have the option to schedule a room move. This would be used when a guest is unsatisfied, or we have to move them for a maintenance reason. We would pick the room to move them to and schedule it for the same day. This would block the room from being used for another guest if the moving guest was unable to move due to the new room not being ready, or the guest may not be ready. We had this option in HMS and used it on a daily basis.
PUBLIC Hotel would also like to see this feature enhancement for similar reasons.
CODA Williamsburg would also like to see this enhancement. Thye currently make "dummy" reservations to "hold" the room for the remainder of the guest's stay which throw off their statistics until the dummy reservation is cancelled.
Davidson Key West Properties - Ridgley, Lighthouse, Fitch, Winslow's Bungalows, and Ella's Cottages would benefit from this feature release/enhancement to Stayntouch.
Golden Sails Hotel would benefit from this enhancement.
TPG is also looking for this functionality at Parmer's Resort
The Heathman Lodge would like this functionality.
The Roxbury (Giri) would also like this functionality (or, the ability to split a booking amongst multiple rooms across the stay). They frequently have guests move from room to room throughout their stay (sometimes multiple times) and the only option is to create multiple back to back reservations that have to be checked out and checked back in.
This is not ideal for the staff (unclear that the guest is already in house without manually adding and reviewing notes) and for the guest (billing and authorizations must be split amongst multiple reservations; since it is not very clear for the front desk that the guest is moving, it leads to confusion for the guest).
This is something they had in their legacy PMS.

The Whitehall Hotel would like to see the enhancement and capabilities of allowing to block a room number when doing a room move. Per the screenshot below, the Guest was originally assigned to Room 2005, however, due to a noise complaint or tv not working will be moving to Room 1905. The property would like to mark the Room Number as scheduled for this reservation/guest so it does not get assigned to another guest when doing a check in.
