Ability for Floor & Maintenance Staff (Housekeeping) to Note What Room They Are Currently Working In

Per La is really making use of the housekeeping functionality; all of their housekeepers update their room statuses on a mobile device. Since it is a large hotel, the Director of Housekeeping would like the ability for them to mark which room they are actively cleaning in so that the Director or other Supervisors can easily find them. This would help them when they are updating the Front Desk on what rooms are about to be marked as cleaned and gives the Supervisor a heads up that that room will need to be inspected after they're done.

Ideally, this functionality would:

  • Allow a Floor & Maintenance Staff user to mark that they've entered a specific room in Stayntouch Cloud PMS (time and date noted)
  • Allow the user to mark that they've exited a room when they are finished
  • Track the amount of time the user was in the room
  • Current status and historical logs available to be viewed by Supervisors/Managers/Directors.
  • Ideally, would like to be able to view and print logs by user (so that you could track the performance of a team member)

Lockwood Hotel would also love this feature.  A Room Status Log, which would allow the user to see activity based on room numbers would be an additional feature to add to this.

Note - this has been partially implemented; the start and end times are now recorded on the activity log for the room.
