Tax Exempt
Oceanic Properties would really love this feature, please.
For the tax filing purposes, the current Tax Exempt report does not have the critical data points on charge codes, revenues that are tax exempted. Mint House created custom export using financial transaction data and reservation data, then consolidate them externally. This provides the transactional financial data, but it lacks the check-in date, check-out date, Tax Exempt Type information (based on the toggle in the Stay Card) and Mint House would like for the check-in date, check-out date, Tax Exempt type to be added to the custom export's Financial Transaction data.
It is understandable that the Tax Exempt report is more complex, it would be ideal and helpful to have the same data points as the custom export.
The other type of tax exempt is associated with OTAs reservation, and the most common practice is to create a charge code such as "Room Charge Tax Exempt" then, configured it in the rate codes that are associated to the OTAs. While the taxes won't post in the guest bill, the user is still required to manually update the Tax Exempt type. It would be ideal to have the tax exempt toggle in the rate configuration, so that any reservations made with this rate code would have the Tax Exempt Type automatically selected.

Tax exempt report to show total revenue that was tax exempt and to what tax type. This report is needed for tax filing purposes.
