Review of the SNT interface to the SiteMinder XML for correct display of the Travel Agent and Company data

This feature request, discussed earlier in tickets 74126 and  74176 (October 2021, with Umesh Parhi), as well as in an e-mail conversation with Kees Lek on Nov 22, 2021m refers to the interface SNT-Siteminder.

Observation: 
for a reservation where SiteMinder sends both the Travel Agent and a Company data, only the Company is correctly displayed in the field “Associated with” in StayNTouch.The Travel Agent is missing. This also means that the field Travel Agent is empty so that when Custom Exports are generated using this field, the output will be incorrect/incomplete.

Desired situation:
If both Travel Agent and Company are sent for a reservation, then both items should be displayed in SNT - and be available for the Custom Exports.


According to the SiteMinder logs, both the Travel Agent and the Company Name are sent in the XML. The channel name booking.com (Travel Agent)  is sent as part of the reservation information and  the company name "Solid Systems Group” is sent as part of the customer information.

So both pieces of information (Travel Agent and Company) appear to be sent to SNT. 
 
In StayNTouch, in the field "Associated with", we can only see the company name (SOLID SYSTEMS in this example).  There is no mention of booking.com even though the field is sent down in the XML, according to SiteMinder. In this case we would expect the "Associated with” field to display both the Company (Solid Systems) and the Travel Agent (booking.com).
 
For not displaying ‘booking.com’, StayNTouch have used the argument that there is no specific Travel Agent field sent down in the XML. At Hotel Van Belle, we have reached out to SiteMinder/Hoteliers, who are adamant that the information is available. 

As an outsider it is impossible to judge whether the information is not sent down correctly by SiteMinder or whether SNT is not extracting the correct information.

It looks as if the current version of the SNT - SiteMinder could do with a review. it would benefit all SNT/SiteMinder customers to see both the Travel Agent and the Company - if both are present for a given reservation.

El Caribe Resort and Ocean Inn & Suites would also like to see the Siteminder integration enhanced to allow the handling of travel agent cards.
