Housekeeping Task Management Forecast Report
Just bumping this up again as this would be so, so helpful for determining how much staff we need on a given day based on the number and type of rooms that need to be cleaned each day. There are so many reports that can be scheduled that it seems odd that this one is not on the list. We currently use the Forecast by Day scheduled report but the departure number is just all room types lumped together. 10 of our rooms take about 15 minutes to clean while 7 of them take about 75 minutes. Being able to account for this massive difference in effort/workload in our scheduling would help us be much more efficient with staffing and labor costs.
Anything ever come of this?

The Task Management section in Housekeeping is very helpful in terms of gauging the number of housekeepers needed for a given day based on the estimated workload.
We are requesting a schedule-able report that would include the same information provided here (estimated hours, rooms and staff required) for each day. For us, we would like to see this information each morning for the upcoming 30 days so that we can schedule our housekeeping staff to reflect the amount of work for each day. We currently do this with a forecast report and focus on the Departures number but this is imprecise as it treats all rooms as the same. The Task Management is much better because it calculates time required based on each room type which, for us, can vary significantly (one room type we have takes 30 minutes, another takes 90 minutes).
This would be a very helpful report and would help “close the loop” between what Rover tells us is needed for each day and how we staff.
