Reduce the amount of clicks a person has to do at Zest Web/Station with ID scanning feature. For example, when starting the ID scanning process, the app requires a click to start the process, a click to take the picture, a click to confirm, and then same for the back. When I scan a check with Wells fargo, for example, I just hold the phone over the check and the picture is taken automatically. I’m thinking this process could be engineered so it says “Prepare to scan your ID” and then automatically moves without click to the first photo, then waits to recognize and snap the first photo automatically, then move on to the second, etc, Based on what I’ve seen on other apps which involve snapping a picture, I think this whole process could happen automatically with the customer only standing there and placing the ID on the photo spot, etc, so only touching their own ID.

This is as true today as it was 4 years ago. The self check in flow could probably have at least 2-3 pages removed that are unnecessary. For example:

* No need to show the guest a picture of the picture they just took of the front of their ID

* No need to show the guest a picture of the picture they just took of the back of their ID

* No need to then show the guest all of the info we scraped from their ID with OCR (birthday, ID #, expiration date, etc.)

* No need to then show one more screen saying “You did it!” - just move forward in the process

Would be great to clean up this process. We have dozens of guests going through this flow every single day so the more simple it is the better that “first impression” of our hotel is.
