deactivate automated posting of cancellation charges

Dear SNT team,

we would request that the automated posting of cancellation charges can be deactivated by the hotel.

To clarify, this should NOT be deactivated in the rate code, we would need the information about the cancellation charge, but it should not be posted automatically during a cancellation via the channel manager.

(more or less like the button where you can deactivate the automated no show charge posting during EOD)

Hi Verena,
I had created a ticket for this and this is the reply that has worked for my hotel:

"​You may change the cancellation penalty rule to amount =0.

To do so, navigate to Settings >Rates>Rules & Restrictions>Cancellation Penalties>48Hours.

Change the Amount Type 'Amount'

Change the Amount value to 0.00

Repeat the same steps if you wish to change the other Cancellation Penalty rules"

Hello Georgios,

thank you for the answer, my problem is that I would like to show the charge there, for the cancellations which are handled by our reservation agents. I just want to deactivate the automated posting.
