We charge a nightly Resort Fee. We noticed during the self check in process there is really nothing that stands out that lets the guest know this is happening.
The current way a Resort fee is implemented is as an ADD-ON.
In reality this should be it's own thing.
A Resort Fee is not an ADD ON , it is a FEE.
As it is a "Fee" it should stand out during the check in process. It should show as part of what the guest is paying when they are reading everything on the screen before they hit next and OK to check in.
A "Fee" should have some text that allows them to read what that fee is for exactly.
I want 100% transparency on any fees that the guest clearly sees and understands during check in
