Simple Tax Report

 You need a report that allows us to choose a date range and see the TAX per day.

Here is what is should look like - I created this real quick in Excel. You have the data in the PMS to make this type of report fairly easy.

Hi everyone, I am pretty surprised that there isn't a report to help us calculate taxes easily in Rover. Virtually every city and county in the US requires hotels to submit quarterly payments and reports that detail revenue & tax collected. The system certainly provides tools to calculate these taxes (and ways to split them up by rate code) which is very helpful but the inability to report on this data easily is a major gap in the platform.

I understand that the Journal -> Revenue report has this information but the problem is that it does not update the numbers retroactively. For example, yesterday when I was preparing our Quarterly tax report I realized that we had many cancelations last month (due to a natural disaster in our area) where we refunded the guest their deposit in full but did not always remove the cancelation fee (which also included tax). I went through each cancelation and removed the cancelation fee & tax but today the Journal numbers for July 1-Sept 30 are exactly the same as they were yesterday. It doesn't appear that there is a way for me to get the updated tax collected for this date range in Rover which is a pretty painful issue when we are talking about tens of thousands of dollars in taxes collected.

The ideal would be a report that specifically was designed to calculate taxes owed, room revenue collected, etc.
