We have a lot of PC (Preferred accounts) at both Orchard and Orchard Garden. When it's time to renew the contract annually at the new rate (usually higher or a different tier), I cannot just extend the rate because the system as it's currently built does not allow it. This means I have to create a whole new contract with a new rate name and a new rate code.
This is not feasible especially since the rate codes need to match the rate code in our channel manager Synxis. If I'm forced to build a new rate, I have to use a different rate code as well. That means reservations will not sync correctly into Rover if it's booked through our Booking Engine or the GDS.
Renewing PC rates has become a very cumbersome and time consuming process. I have discussed this with Sean Kline and Ashley Simmons and they suggested a workaround which is not ideal.
