Yes please!! This would help us too - we are not as easily able to see how many international or domestic guests we have because it is not mandatory and there is no default. Our old system used to default to the country we were based in, and we would update it if it was different.

Country of residence is a legally required bit of data for all hotels in Belgium and we would like to see this field be mandatory upon check-in so we can be sure our data is accurate. It is challenging for our front desk agents to remember to collect this data unless it is mandatory.
